To me, there is no better symbol of strength and masculinity in nature than a bull moose. He is a huge and formidable creature that we are lucky to see on occasion in Maine. My sightings of them have usually been in the Moosehead Lake area, early or late in the day, often semi-submerged in a bog feeding on marsh grass. This depiction of the animal, standing alone in the wild, is a great visual metaphor for being “resolute”….one who stands secure in his convictions, unmovable, no matter how alone he may feel.
